Medical Microneedling

Medical Microneedling

Microneedling provides fractional stimulation of the dermis and epidermis, which activates a cascade of natural skin regenerative processes, resulting in the formation of new collagen and elastin. Within weeks the skin becomes smother with improved thickness and texture.

Medical Microneedling is indicated for :

The procedure is performed under topical local anaesthesia. The electrical microneedling device creates precise microscopic punctures which close spontaneously within minutes, leaving the epidermis preserved and intact.

The micro-trauma triggers a release of growth factors, a proliferation of cells such as fibroblasts and keratinocytes and induces production of new collagen and elastin fibres.  The wound healing response is initiated resulting in tissue remodelling, improved vascularity and a firmer, tighter skin.

Medical Combination Treatments

Medical Microneedling can also be used in combination with other treatments depending on individual skin concerns.  It may be recommended to combine microneedling with a therapeutic skin care protocol containing high dose retinol or a NCTF (New Cellular Treatment Factor) to optimise results.
